NEW PROPOSALS FOR 2 TRAFALGAR WAY

urbanest is one of London’s leading contemporary student accommodation providers, managing over 3,000 student beds across seven different properties for many of the capital’s most renowned universities, including LSE and King’s College.

Now working in partnership with University College London (UCL), urbanest is bringing forward proposals for new, much-needed student and staff accommodation at 2 Trafalgar Way, in Tower Hamlets, as part of a mixed-use development.

2 Trafalgar Way is an important site on the edge of Canary Wharf, located directly to the east of the historic Billingsgate market.

It has been vacant and neglected for a number of years and the proposals will support the growth of one of London’s most prestigious universities and the expansion of UCL’s School of Management in Canary Wharf and the new campus UCL East in Stratford.

The designs would see new student and staff accommodation, alongside new public realm and improved pedestrian and cycle routes, flexible workspace for business start-ups and small enterprises, as well as re-providing the former drive-through McDonalds.
